Light-emitting diodes, or LEDs, are remarkably long-lasting and efficient lighting, but most of them are small and located in everyday products like remote controls. GlobalGreen wants to change that with its street-light replacement LEDs. Using a mere 50 watts of power (about a 60 percent reduction), this light is very bright (3500 lumens) and will last for 60,000 hours before needing replacement, the company claims.
